New Mexico High School Volleyball - Zuni over Newcomb

Fans at Tuesday's league contest between the Zuni Thunderbirds (Zuni, NM) and the host Newcomb Skyhawks (Newcomb, NM), observed Zuni's volleyball team top Newcomb by a count of 3-1.

The Thunderbirds (7-16) will now prepare for their contest against Tohatchi (Tohatchi, NM). The Cougars enter the 3A District 1 contest with a 18-4 record. In their last contest, Tohatchi notched a victory over Wingate (Fort Wingate, NM), 3-0, in a league contest.

Next, the Skyhawks battle the Navajo Prep Eagles (Farmington, NM) in a 3A District 1 contest, on Thursday, November 7. Newcomb will attempt to move on its 3-19 season record. The Eagles enter the contest with a 7-17 record after their 3-1 league loss to Crownpoint (Crownpoint, NM).
