The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Bagdad Sultans (Bagdad, AZ) and the visiting San Pasqual Valley Warriors (Winterhaven, CA), observed Bagdad's basketball team overwhelm San Pasqual Valley by a score of 68-35.
The Sultans (10-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Maryvale Prep (Phoenix, AZ). The Matador come into the 1A West battle with a 2-3 record. In their last battle, Maryvale Prep was crushed by Santa Rita (Tucson, AZ), 54-25, in a non-league battle.
The Warriors now own a 0-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Wickenburg for a non-league battle on Monday, December 15. San Pasqual Valley will meet a Wranglers squad coming off a 62-52 non-league loss to Red Rock (Sedona, AZ). The Wranglers record now stands at 2-5.
