North Carolina High School Basketball - Asheville School (Independent) toppled by Gaston Christian

Gaston Christian Eagles (Gastonia, NC) supporters left the game satisfied Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the host Asheville School (Independent) Blues (Asheville, NC), 73-61 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Gaston Christian advances its record to 11-3 on the year. The Eagles travel to Huss (Gastonia, NC) to face the Huskies in a non-league match on Saturday, December 21. The Huskies enter the match with a record of 3-1.

The Blues now own a 7-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Pickens for a non-league match on Monday, December 16. Asheville School (Independent) will face a Blue Flame squad coming off a 76-57 non-league loss to Easley (Easley, SC). The Blue Flame record now stands at 2-7.
