Kansas High School Basketball - Wheatland-Grinnell edged by Northern Valley

The Wheatland-Grinnell Thunderhawks basketball team (Grainfield, KS), was nudged 53-51 in Friday's league battle with the host Northern Valley Huskies (Almena, KS)

The Huskies now possess a 3-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Arapahoe for a non-league battle on Tuesday, December 20. Northern Valley will confront a Warriors team coming off a 44-33 non-league loss to Southwest (Bartley, NE). The Warriors record now stands at 2-5.

The Thunderhawks (3-2) will now prepare for their battle against Wallace County (Sharon Springs, KS). The Wildcats come into the non-league battle with a 2-3 record. In their last battle, Wallace County edged Weskan (Weskan, KS), 53-35, in a non-league battle.
