Kansas High School Basketball - Wheatland-Grinnell topped by Northern Valley

The Wheatland-Grinnell Thunderhawks basketball team (Grainfield, KS), dropped 42-29 in Friday's non-league battle with the visiting Northern Valley Huskies (Almena, KS)

The Huskies now sport a 10-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Golden Plains for a non-league battle on Saturday, February 4. Northern Valley will battle a Bulldogs team coming off a 49-31 non-league win over Weskan (Weskan, KS). The Bulldogs record now stands at 11-3.

The Thunderhawks (8-7) will now prepare for their battle against Quinter (Quinter, KS). The Bulldogs come into the non-league battle with a 13-2 record. In their last battle, Quinter prevailed over St. Francis (St. Francis, KS), 51-38, in a non-league battle.

Northern Valley

Congratulations to #23 Braxton Cox for being selected the Northern Valley Girls Basketball Player of the Game.
