Fans at Monday's league challenge between the Banneker Bulldogs (Washington, DC) and the host Ballou Knights (Washington, DC), saw Banneker's basketball squad hold off Ballou by a tally of 46-42.

With the victory, Banneker improves its record to 4-2 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Bell (Washington, DC) to confront the Griffins in a DCIAA challenge on Wednesday, January 4. The Griffins come into the challenge with a record of 1-5. Bell lost 82-52 in their recent league challenge against Anacostia (Washington, DC)

Next up, the Knights confront the Butler Bulldogs (Matthews, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, December 28. Ballou will attempt to improve on its 1-8 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 4-3 record after their 66-65 league loss to East Mecklenburg (Charlotte, NC).
