With the victory, Savoy upgrades its record to 7-9 on the campaign. The Cardinals travel to Campbell (Campbell, TX) to play the Indians in a 1A Region III District 23 challenge on Friday, January 5. The Indians come into the challenge with a record of 7-7.

Next up, the Eagles play the Big Sandy Wildcats (Big Sandy, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, December 28. Ector will attempt to upgrade on its 1-17 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 4-16 record after their 43-21 league win over Ore City (Ore City, TX).
