Charleroi Cougars (Charleroi, PA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Ringgold Rams (Monongahela, PA), 55-46 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Charleroi upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Cougars host Clairton (Clairton, PA) to clash with the Bears in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 3. The Bears go into the bout with a record of 1-0. Clairton won 75-53 in their recent non-league bout against Elizabeth Forward (Elizabeth, PA)

Next up, the Rams clash with the Monessen Greyhounds (Monessen, PA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 3. Ringgold will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Greyhounds go into the bout with a 0-1 record after their 54-28 non-league loss to South Allegheny (McKeesport, PA).
