Ringgold Rams (Monongahela, PA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Charleroi Cougars (Charleroi, PA), 58-52 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Ringgold upgrades its record to 2-7 on the season. The Rams host Bethel Park (Bethel Park, PA) to play the Black Hawks in a WPIAL 5A 1 bout on Tuesday, January 3. The Black Hawks go into the bout with a record of 6-3. Bethel Park lost 81-66 in their recent non-league bout against Butler (Butler, PA)

Next up, the Cougars play the Mt. Pleasant Vikings (Mt. Pleasant, PA) in a WPIAL 3A 4 bout, on Tuesday, January 3. Charleroi will attempt to upgrade on its 5-5 season record. The Vikings go into the bout with a 1-9 record after their 61-23 non-league loss to Jeannette (Jeannette, PA).
