With the victory, Avon Lake improves its record to 5-4 on the campaign. The Shoremen host Elyria (Elyria, OH) to confront the Pioneers in a Southwestern challenge on Saturday, January 7. The Pioneers come into the challenge with a record of 0-6.

Next up, the Comets confront the Brunswick Blue Devils (Brunswick, OH) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, January 4. Steele will attempt to improve on its 5-4 season record.
