    • North Carolina High School Basketball - Union County fells Murphy

    December 21, 2023: Murphy, NC 28906

    Union County Panthers (Blairsville, GA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Murphy Bulldogs (Murphy, NC), 59-50 in a non-league bout.

    With the win, Union County upgrades its record to 9-2 on the season. The Panthers travel to Franklin (Franklin, NC) to clash with the Panthers in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 28. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 6-2. Franklin lost 70-35 in their recent non-league bout against A.C. Reynolds (Asheville, NC)

    Next up, the Bulldogs clash with the Coosa Eagles (Rome, GA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 28. Murphy will attempt to upgrade on its 5-2 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 3-7 record after their 74-58 non-league loss to Armuchee (Rome, GA).
