Georgia High School Basketball - Union County knocked off by Murphy

The Murphy Bulldogs basketball team scored 63 points and held the host Union County Panthers to 49 in the Bulldogs non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Bulldogs now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Polk County for a non-league contest on Thursday, December 7. Murphy will meet a Wildcats team coming off a 77-56 non-league win over Copper Basin (Copperhill, TN). The Wildcats record now stands at 3-0.

The Panthers (5-2) will now prepare for their contest against Towns County (Hiawassee, GA). The Indians enter the non-league contest with a 5-1 record. In their last contest, Towns County ran past Tallulah Falls (Tallulah Falls, GA), 47-44, in a non-league contest.
