The Comets now possess a 10-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hoopeston for a Vermilion Valley battle on Tuesday, January 2. Oakwood will battle a Cornjerkers team coming off a 56-47 non-league win over Iroquois West (Gilman, IL). The Cornjerkers record now stands at 11-4.

The Panthers (2-11) will now prepare for their battle against Neoga (Neoga, IL). The Indians come into the non-league battle with a 4-8 record. In their last battle, Neoga dropped by Clinton (Clinton, IL), 73-32, in a non-league battle.
