Illinois High School Basketball - Armstrong ripped by Oakwood

The Oakwood Comets basketball team scored 55 points and held the host Armstrong Trojans to 27 in the Comets non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Comets now sport a 5-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Tolono Unity for a non-league contest on Thursday, December 28. Oakwood will battle a Rockets team coming off a 46-35 non-league win over Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin (Bismarck, IL). The Rockets record now stands at 8-6.

The Trojans (3-8) will now prepare for their contest against Lexington (Lexington, IL). The Minutemen enter the non-league contest with a 5-9 record. In their last contest, Lexington triumphed over Oakwood (Fithian, IL), 45-22, in a non-league contest.
