North Carolina High School Basketball - North Stanly edges Union Academy

The North Stanly Comets (New London, NC) basketball nipped the host Union Academy Cardinals (Monroe, NC), 70-67 in Friday's non-league test.

The Comets (10-2) will now prepare for their test against Corvian Community (Charlotte, NC). The Cardinals go into the non-league test with a 5-2 record. In their last test, Corvian Community got by South Stanly (Norwood, NC), 81-67, in a non-league test.

The Cardinals now own a 2-9 record. They play next when they host South Stanly for a non-league test on Saturday, December 30.
