West Virginia High School Basketball - Hoover knocked off by Nitro

December 30, 2022: Nitro, WV 25143

The Nitro Wildcats basketball team scored 70 points and held the visiting Hoover Huskies to 60 in the Wildcats league triumph on Friday.

The Wildcats now sport a 5-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Ripley for a non-league contest on Friday, January 6.

Next up, the Huskies play the Nicholas County Grizzlies (Summersville, WV) in a Coalfield AA challenge, on Wednesday, January 4. Hoover will attempt to upgrade on its 3-5 season record. The Grizzlies come into the challenge with a 2-3 record after their 60-34 non-league loss to Bridgeport (Bridgeport, WV).
