The IDEA Weslaco Pike basketball team (Weslaco, TX), was nudged 42-35 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Progreso Red Ants (Progreso, TX)
The Red Ants now possess a 18-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Rio Hondo for a 3A Region IV District 32 battle on Tuesday, January 3. Progreso will confront a Bobcats team coming off a 66-42 league win over Lyford (Lyford, TX). The Bobcats record now stands at 11-9.
