Nebraska High School Basketball - Cross County overwhelms Shelby-Rising City

December 6, 2024: Stromsburg, NE 68666

The Cross County Cougars basketball team scored 53 points and limited the visiting Shelby-Rising City Huskies to 28 in the Cougars league triumph on Friday.

The Cougars now have a 2-0 record. They play next when they host Meridian for a non-league game on Friday, December 13. Cross County will confront a Mustangs team coming off a 43-31 league win over Dorchester (Dorchester, NE). The Mustangs record now stands at 1-1.

With the loss, Shelby-Rising City falls to 1-1 on the campaign. The Huskies travel to Twin River (Genoa, NE) to confront the Titans in a C2 District 4 game on Saturday, December 7. The Titans go into the game with a record of 0-1. Twin River lost 42-41 in their recent non-league game against Nebraska Christian (Central City, NE)
