Des Moines Demons (Des Moines, NM) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Cimarron Rams (Cimarron, NM), 70-59 in a league bout.

With the win, Des Moines upgrades its record to 16-3 on the season. The Demons travel to Maxwell (Maxwell, NM) to play the Bears in a A District 5 bout on Saturday, February 3. The Bears go into the bout with a record of 9-7. Maxwell lost 69-63 in their recent non-league bout against Evangel Christian Academy/Oak Grove Classical Academy (Albuquerque, NM)

Next up, the Rams play the Logan Longhorns (Logan, NM) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 2. Cimarron will attempt to upgrade on its 14-3 season record. The Longhorns go into the bout with a 19-2 record after their 63-52 league win over Melrose (Melrose, NM).
