The Weed Cougars topped the visiting Mt. Shasta Bears basketball team by a final score of 60-50 in Friday's league game.

With the defeat, Mt. Shasta moves to 13-12 on the year. The Bears travel to Portola (Portola, CA) to face the Tigers in a non-league game on Friday, February 17. The Tigers come into the battle with a record of 20-5. Portola lost 79-72 in their recent league battle against Quincy (Quincy, CA)
