Michigan High School Basketball - Alcona trounced by Tawas Area

February 14, 2023: Tawas City, MI 48763

The Tawas Area Braves routed the visiting Alcona Tigers basketball team by a final score of 70-37 in Tuesday's non-league game.

In their next game, the Braves face the Ogemaw Heights Falcons (West Branch, MI) in a non-league game, on Friday, February 17. Tawas Area will attempt to move on its 12-5 season record. The Falcons enter the game with a 10-7 record after their 57-54 non-league loss to Beaverton (Beaverton, MI).

With the defeat, Alcona moves to 8-8 on the year. The Tigers host Heston Academy (St. Helen, MI) to face the Patriots in a North Star game on Friday, February 17. The Patriots enter the game with a record of 11-6.
