New Mexico High School Basketball - Carrizozo overwhelmed by Quemado

The Quemado Eagles basketball team scored 62 points and restricted the host Carrizozo Grizzlies to 35 in the Eagles non-league victory on Thursday.
The Eagles now sport a 13-13 record. They put it on the line next when they host Animas for a A District 2 contest on Monday, February 20. Quemado will battle a Panthers team coming off a 56-35 league loss to Mesilla Valley Christian School (Las Cruces, NM). The Panthers record now stands at 6-18.
The Grizzlies (4-21) will now prepare for their contest against Hondo Valley (Hondo, NM). The Eagles come into the A District 3 contest with a 3-12 record. In their last contest, Hondo Valley was routed by Mountainair (Mountainair, NM), 51-42, in a league contest.
