North Carolina High School Basketball - Ashe County tipped by Watauga

In Thursday's non-league match, the visiting Watauga Pioneers basketball team scored a tight 39-33 triumph over the Ashe County Huskies.

In their next game, the Pioneers meet the Hibriten Panthers (Lenoir, NC) in a non-league match, on Friday, February 17. Watauga will attempt to move on its 19-6 season record. The Panthers enter the match with a 22-3 record after their 54-44 non-league win over Alexander Central (Taylorsville, NC).

With the defeat, Ashe County moves to 17-8 on the year.
