Georgia High School Basketball - Gainesville can't hold off Lanier

The Lanier Longhorns basketball team scored 52 points and held the host Gainesville Red Elephants to 45 in the Longhorns non-league triumph on Friday.
The Longhorns now sport a 16-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to New Manchester for a non-league contest on Tuesday, February 20. Lanier will battle a Jaguar team coming off a 58-56 non-league loss to Langston Hughes (Fairburn, GA). The Jaguar record now stands at 21-5.
The Red Elephants (7-18) will now prepare for their contest against Langston Hughes (Fairburn, GA). The Panthers enter the non-league contest with a 21-6 record. In their last contest, Langston Hughes nudged New Manchester (Douglasville, GA), 58-56, in a non-league contest.
