In Friday's league outing, the Sands Mustangs (Ackerly, TX) basketball squad edged the visiting Klondike Cougars (Lamesa, TX), by a margin of 59-53.
The Mustangs (18-15) will now prepare for their outing against Amherst (Amherst, TX). The Bulldogs go into the non-league outing with a 14-8 record. In their last outing, Amherst held off Hedley (Hedley, TX), 62-53, in a non-league outing.
The Cougars now own a 9-12 record. They play next when they travel to Whiteface for a non-league outing on Monday, February 20.
