Texas High School Basketball - Sands nudges Klondike

In Thursday's league outing, the Sands Mustangs (Ackerly, TX) basketball squad edged the host Klondike Cougars (Lamesa, TX), by a count of 33-27.
The Mustangs (11-11) will now prepare for their outing against Grady (Lenorah, TX). The Wildcats go into the 1A Region I District 8 outing with a 14-5 record. In their last outing, Grady held off Loop (Loop, TX), 51-25, in a league outing.
The Cougars now hold a 5-10 record. They play next when they travel to Dawson for a 1A Region I District 8 outing on Friday, February 3. Klondike will clash with a Dragons squad coming off a 1-0 league loss to Loop (Loop, TX). The Dragons record now stands at 2-12.
