Texas High School Basketball - Walnut Grove crushes Liberty

February 2, 2024: Frisco, TX 75035

Walnut Grove Wildcats (Prosper, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Liberty Redhawks (Frisco, TX), 76-40 in a league bout.

With the win, Walnut Grove upgrades its record to 21-7 on the season. The Wildcats host Heritage (Frisco, TX) to play the Coyotes in a 5A Region II District 10 bout on Tuesday, February 6. The Coyotes go into the bout with a record of 18-11. Heritage won 83-63 in their recent league bout against Lebanon Trail (Frisco, TX)

Next up, the Redhawks play the Independence Knights (Frisco, TX) in a 5A Region II District 10 bout, on Tuesday, February 6. Liberty will attempt to upgrade on its 8-20 season record. The Knights go into the bout with a 11-19 record after their 49-39 league loss to Emerson (McKinney, TX).
