The New Hampstead Phoenix (Savannah, GA) basketball crushed the host Islands Sharks (Savannah, GA), 77-20 in Friday's league test.
The Phoenix (12-7) will now prepare for their test against Jenkins County (Millen, GA). The War Eagles go into the non-league test with a 11-10 record. In their last test, Jenkins County walloped Claxton (Claxton, GA), 42-40, in a non-league test.
The Sharks now own a 0-14 record. They play next when they host Burke County for a AAAA Region 3 test on Tuesday, February 6. Islands will encounter a Bears squad coming off a 48-19 league win over Southeast Bulloch (Brooklet, GA). The Bears record now stands at 12-9.
