New Mexico High School Softball - Manzano holds off Valley

Spectators at Tuesday's non-league match between the Manzano Monarchs (Albuquerque, NM) and the visiting Valley Vikings (Albuquerque, NM), witnessed Manzano's softball squad tip Valley by a count of 10-8.

The Monarchs now sport a 1-0 record. They play next when they host Eldorado for a non-league match on Friday, February 24. Manzano will meet a Golden Eagles squad coming off a 14-9 non-league loss to Cibola (Albuquerque, NM). The Golden Eagles record now stands at 0-1.
