    Spectators at Wednesday's non-league bout between the Northumberland Indians (Heathsville, VA) and the visiting Mathews Blue Devils (Mathews, VA), saw Northumberland's basketball team top Mathews by a tally of 68-55.

    The Indians now possess a 15-3 record. They play next when they travel to Lancaster for a non-league bout on Friday, February 28. Northumberland will play a Red Devils team coming off a 67-54 non-league win over Middlesex (Saluda, VA). The Red Devils record now stands at 15-7.

    With the loss, Mathews falls to 16-9 on the campaign.
