In Monday's non-league test, the Northumberland Indians (Heathsville, VA) basketball squad defeated the visiting Mathews Blue Devils (Mathews, VA), by a score of 74-65.

Next, the Indians clash with the Colonial Beach Drifters (Colonial Beach, VA) in a Northern Neck test, on Tuesday, February 4. Northumberland will attempt to improve on its 9-3 season record. The Drifters come into the test with a 7-7 record after their 50-47 league win over Rappahannock (Warsaw, VA).

The Blue Devils (13-7) will now prepare for their test against King & Queen Central (King & Queen Court House, VA). The Royal Tigers come into the Tidewater test with a 7-9 record. In their last test, King & Queen Central overcame Carver College and Career Academy (Chester, VA), 70-25, in a league test.
