The Flour Bluff Hornets basketball team scored 61 points and restricted the visiting King Mustangs to 39 in the Hornets league victory on Friday.

The Hornets now sport a 21-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Carroll for a 5A Region IV District 29 contest on Tuesday, February 7. Flour Bluff will battle a Tigers team coming off a 52-51 league loss to King (Corpus Christi, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 13-13.

The Mustangs (15-17) will now prepare for their contest against Corpus Christi Moody (Corpus Christi, TX). The Trojans come into the 5A Region IV District 29 contest with a 10-15 record. In their last contest, Corpus Christi Moody was routed by Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial (Corpus Christi, TX), 88-73, in a league contest.
