Texas High School Basketball - Grulla knocked off by Zapata

The Zapata Hawks basketball team scored 37 points and held the visiting Grulla Gators to 29 in the Hawks league triumph on Friday.
The Hawks now sport a 11-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hidalgo for a 4A Region IV District 32 contest on Monday, February 6. Zapata will battle a Pirates team coming off a 51-33 league loss to Port Isabel (Port Isabel, TX). The Pirates record now stands at 10-16.
The Gators (8-15) will now prepare for their contest against Raymondville (Raymondville, TX). The Bearkats enter the 4A Region IV District 32 contest with a 14-17 record. In their last contest, Raymondville was defeated by Jubilee Brownsville (Brownsville, TX), 66-44, in a league contest.
