The Sandy Creek Cougars basketball team (Fairfield, NE), was nudged 33-27 in Saturday's non-league battle with the host Wilber-Clatonia Wolverines (Wilber, NE)

The Wolverines now sport a 3-17 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Sutton for a non-league battle on Tuesday, February 8. Wilber-Clatonia will battle a Mustangs team coming off a 36-27 non-league win over Fairbury (Fairbury, NE). The Mustangs record now stands at 17-4.

The Cougars (4-16) will now prepare for their battle against Fillmore Central (Geneva, NE). The Panthers come into the C2 District 6 battle with a 9-12 record. In their last battle, Fillmore Central was nudged by David City (David City, NE), 53-41, in a non-league battle.
