The Fairmont Senior Polar Bears basketball team scored 53 points and held the visiting Logan Wildcats to 52 in the Polar Bears non-league triumph on Monday.
The Polar Bears now sport a 14-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to East Fairmont for a Big Ten contest on Thursday, February 9. Fairmont Senior will battle a Bees team coming off a 62-50 league win over Philip Barbour (Philippi, WV). The Bees record now stands at 15-1.
The Wildcats (10-9) will now prepare for their contest against Chapmanville Regional (Chapmanville, WV). The Tigers enter the Cardinal contest with a 14-2 record. In their last contest, Chapmanville Regional was nudged by Bluefield (Bluefield, WV), 74-63, in a non-league contest.
