Volcano Vista Hawks (Albuquerque, NM) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Atrisco Heritage Academy Jaguars (Albuquerque, NM), 69-52 in a league bout.

With the win, Volcano Vista upgrades its record to 21-1 on the season. The Hawks travel to Cleveland (Rio Rancho, NM) to clash with the Storm in a 5A District 1 bout on Thursday, February 8. The Storm go into the bout with a record of 17-5. Cleveland won 85-59 in their recent league bout against Rio Rancho (Rio Rancho, NM)

Next up, the Jaguars clash with the Cibola Cougars (Albuquerque, NM) in a 5A District 1 bout, on Thursday, February 8. Atrisco Heritage Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 17-5 season record. The Cougars go into the bout with a 5-17 record after their 93-57 league loss to Cleveland (Rio Rancho, NM).
