In Tuesday's league match, the host Devils Lake Firebirds basketball team scored a tight 70-69 triumph over the Four Winds/Minnewaukan Indians.
In their next game, the Firebirds meet the Central Cass Squirrels (Casselton, ND) in a non-league match, on Friday, February 9. Devils Lake will attempt to better on its 17-2 season record. The Squirrels enter the match with a 9-7 record after their 59-42 league loss to Valley City (Valley City, ND).
With the defeat, Four Winds/Minnewaukan moves to 12-4 on the year. The Indians travel to Carrington (Carrington, ND) to meet the Cardinals in a A Region 2 match on Tuesday, February 13. The Cardinals enter the match with a record of 1-17.
