The Towns County Indians tipped the visiting Greene County Tigers basketball team by a final score of 59-57 in Tuesday's league game.

In their next game, the Indians face the Washington-Wilkes Tigers (Washington, GA) in a A D2 Region 8 game, on Friday, February 9. Towns County will attempt to move on its 17-5 season record. The Tigers enter the game with a 7-13 record after their 54-48 league win over Lake Oconee Academy (Greensboro, GA).

With the defeat, Greene County moves to 16-7 on the year. The Tigers travel to Lincoln County (Lincolnton, GA) to face the Red Devils in a A D2 Region 8 game on Friday, February 9. The Red Devils enter the game with a record of 12-7. Lincoln County won 67-30 in their recent league game against Aquinas (Augusta, GA)
