The Elgin Wildcats (Elgin, TX) basketball felled the visiting Bastrop Bears (Bastrop, TX), 62-51 in Tuesday's league test.
The Wildcats (7-24) will now prepare for their test against Pflugerville (Pflugerville, TX). The Panthers go into the 5A Region III District 23 test with a 11-22 record. In their last test, Pflugerville went down by Pflugerville Connally (Austin, TX), 65-46, in a league test.
The Bears now own a 8-21 record. They play next when they travel to Cedar Creek for a 5A Region III District 23 test on Friday, February 10. Bastrop will encounter a Eagles squad coming off a 77-56 league loss to Georgetown (Georgetown, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 16-16.
