Fabens Wildcats (Fabens, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host San Elizario Eagles (San Elizario, TX), 44-37 in a league bout.

With the win, Fabens upgrades its record to 6-19 on the season. The Wildcats host Riverside (El Paso, TX) to play the Rangers in a 4A Region I District 2 bout on Friday, February 10. The Rangers go into the bout with a record of 13-12. Riverside won 51-44 in their recent non-league challenge against Bowie (El Paso, TX)

Next up, the Eagles confront the Clint Lions (Clint, TX) in a 4A Region I District 2 challenge, on Friday, February 10. San Elizario will attempt to improve on its 17-13 season record. The Lions come into the challenge with a 3-21 record after their 61-35 league loss to Mountain View (El Paso, TX).
