The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Valley City Hi-Liners (Valley City, ND) and the visiting Central Cass Squirrels (Casselton, ND), observed Valley City's basketball team edge Central Cass by a margin of 69-64.

The Hi-Liners (9-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Kindred (Kindred, ND). The Vikings come into the A Region 1 challenge with a 14-0 record. In their last challenge, Kindred edged Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton (Glyndon, MN), 69-50, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Squirrels battle the Shiloh Christian Skyhawks (Bismarck, ND) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, February 8. Central Cass will attempt to better on its 4-11 season record. The Skyhawks come into the challenge with a 12-3 record after their 83-55 league win over Watford City (Watford City, ND).
