The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Apollo Hawks (Glendale, AZ) and the visiting Tolleson Wolverines (Tolleson, AZ), observed Apollo's basketball team overwhelm Tolleson by a score of 56-20.

The Hawks (8-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Shadow Ridge (Surprise, AZ). The Stallions come into the 6A West Valley challenge with a 10-10 record. In their last challenge, Shadow Ridge was routed by Cesar Chavez (Laveen, AZ), 68-25, in a non-league challenge.

Coming up next, the Wolverines play the Valley Vista Monsoon (Surprise, AZ) in a 6A West Valley bout, on Tuesday, February 11. Tolleson will attempt to move on its 5-14 season record. The Monsoon go into the bout with a 16-7 record after their 70-24 league win over West Point (Avondale, AZ).
