Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Monticello Billies (Monticello, AR) and the host Crossett Eagles (Crossett, AR), saw Monticello's basketball squad overcome Crossett by a tally of 53-42.

With the victory, Monticello improves its record to 9-16 on the campaign. The Billies travel to Mills University Studies (Little Rock, AR) to confront the Comets in a 4A Region 8 challenge on Tuesday, February 13. The Comets come into the challenge with a record of 20-8.

Next up, the Eagles confront the Stuttgart Ricebirds (Stuttgart, AR) in a 4A Region 8 challenge, on Tuesday, February 13. Crossett will attempt to improve on its 8-20 season record.
