The Scott Central Rebels softball team scored 17 runs and held the visiting Forest Bearcats to 5 in the Rebels non-league win on Saturday.

The Rebels now possess a 2-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Sebastopol for a non-league battle on Saturday, March 1. Scott Central will confront a Bobcats team coming off a 23-1 non-league win over Taylorsville (Taylorsville, MS). The Bobcats record now stands at 5-0.

With the loss, Forest moves to 3-3 on the season. The Bearcats host Quitman (Quitman, MS) to confront the Panthers in a 4A Region 5 battle on Monday, March 3. The Panthers come into the battle with a record of 1-5. Quitman lost 16-2 in their recent non-league battle against Clarkdale (Meridian, MS)
