California High School Softball - Canyon bounces El Modena

In Thursday's league match, the host Canyon Comanches softball team scored a tight 9-5 win over the El Modena Vanguards.

The Comanches (10-3) will now prepare for their match against Cypress (Cypress, CA). The Centurions come into the Crestview match with a 10-4 record. In their last match, Cypress was routed by El Modena (Orange, CA), 1-0, in a league match.

In their next game, the Vanguards battle the JSerra Catholic Lions (San Juan Capistrano, CA) in a non-league match, on Friday, March 21. El Modena will attempt to better on its 9-2 season record. The Lions come into the match with a 8-4 record after their 3-2 non-league loss to Aliso Niguel (Aliso Viejo, CA).
