California High School Softball - Canyon bounces El Modena

In Thursday's league match, the host Canyon Comanches softball team scored a tight 8-1 victory over the El Modena Vanguards.

With the triumph, Canyon improves its record to 18-7 on the year. The Comanches travel to Cypress (Cypress, CA) to face the Centurions in a Crestview contest on Tuesday, April 29. The Centurions enter the contest with a record of 15-9. Cypress won 8-3 in their recent non-league contest against Villa Park (Villa Park, CA)

The Vanguards now hold a 16-7 record. They play next when they host Esperanza for a Crestview contest on Tuesday, April 29. El Modena will face a Aztecs squad coming off a 11-0 league loss to Pacifica (Garden Grove, CA). The Aztecs record now stands at 6-19.
