In Friday's league game, the host West Brunswick Trojans baseball team scored a close 3-0 victory over the North Brunswick Scorpions.
The Trojans (4-6) will now prepare for their game against Topsail (Hampstead, NC). The Pirates enter the Mideastern 3A/4A game with a 7-4 record. In their last game, Topsail held off South Brunswick (Southport, NC), 8-4, in a league game.
Next, the Scorpions face the South Brunswick Cougars (Southport, NC) in a Mideastern 3A/4A game, on Tuesday, March 25. North Brunswick will attempt to improve on its 4-6 season record. The Cougars enter the game with a 3-7 record after their 8-4 league loss to Topsail (Hampstead, NC).
