North Carolina High School Baseball - Topsail holds off South Brunswick

The crowd at Friday's league battle between the Topsail Pirates (Hampstead, NC) and the host South Brunswick Cougars (Southport, NC), saw Topsail's baseball team gain a win over South Brunswick by a tally of 8-4.
The Pirates (7-4) will now prepare for their battle against West Brunswick (Shallotte, NC). The Trojans enter the Mideastern 3A/4A battle with a 4-6 record. In their last battle, West Brunswick held off North Brunswick (Leland, NC), 3-0, in a league battle.
Next, the Cougars face the North Brunswick Scorpions (Leland, NC) in a Mideastern 3A/4A battle, on Tuesday, March 25. South Brunswick will attempt to upgrade on its 3-7 season record. The Scorpions enter the battle with a 4-6 record after their 3-0 league loss to West Brunswick (Shallotte, NC).
