In Friday's league game, the host Lumberton Pirates baseball team scored a nice 11-1 victory over the Seventy-First Falcons.

The Pirates (6-3) will now prepare for their game against Purnell Swett (Pembroke, NC). The Rams go into the United Eight 3A/4A game with a 5-7 record. In their last game, Purnell Swett was overwhelmed by Hoggard (Wilmington, NC), 5-4, in a non-league game.
