North Carolina High School Baseball - Laney holds off North Brunswick

The Laney Buccaneers baseball team scored 6 runs and held the host North Brunswick Scorpions to 2 in the Buccaneers league win on Friday.

The Buccaneers now own a 7-4 record. They take the field next when they host Topsail for a Mideastern 3A/4A test on Tuesday, April 1. Laney will clash with a Pirates team coming off a 8-7 league win over Hoggard (Wilmington, NC). The Pirates record now stands at 9-4.

With the defeat, North Brunswick drops to 5-7 on the year. The Scorpions travel to Ashley (Wilmington, NC) to clash with the Screaming Eagle in a Mideastern 3A/4A test on Tuesday, April 1. The Screaming Eagle go into the test with a record of 13-0. Ashley won 6-3 in their recent league test against South Brunswick (Southport, NC)
